Lisa Williams received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas, and a master’s in manufacturing management from The Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pennsylvania. Lisa joined Dow in 1998 as a Mechanical/PCE Design and Construction Engineer and led over $25MM design and construction projects as a young engineer. In 2001, she transitioned her career into Supply Chain serving in various business planning and supply chain improvement roles until ultimately becoming a Subject Matter Expert in the Supply Chain Technology and Expertise Center. In 2010, she followed her passion for education and change management by taking a role in the Diamond Systems Solution IT organization traveling to Brazil, India, and the Middle East training employees on new supply chain technology. In 2015, Lisa again transitioned her career into Global Procurement where she held senior director category leader roles in Equipment, Logistics, and Terminal Services totaling more than $1.1 B in spend. In 2021 Lisa was named into her current role leading a cross-functional corporate team to establish a new contract labor strategy, governance system, and operating model for over 30,000 contract laborers in Dow across several billion dollars in spend. Lisa is a Six Sigma Black Belt, APICS Supply Chain CPIM and CSCP, and Prosci ADKAR change management certified. Lisa has participated in several elite Dow senior leadership programs such as the HH Dow Academy, Lead To Exceed, Dow Leadership Institute, Inspire to Serve, and Dow executive coaching.
In addition to her core role, Lisa is currently global co-chair emeritus of the Global African Affinity Network (GAAN) Leadership Council, Dow’s 2nd oldest employee resource group (ERG). In her tenure GAAN globalized to all four regions, launched the first ERG-created sponsorship program named Advocacy in Action, helped author the Dow ACTs commitment to racial equity, and secured over $10 MM in investment to HBCUs and recruiting under-represented talent to Dow. Lisa joined the Midland Area Community Foundation grant committee to leverage her passion for philanthropy and financial stewardship into the Midland community. Lisa is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated, a global public service sorority and active in the Houston area.
Lisa is a native Texan where she resides with her husband close to family and friends. Lisa is a strong fitness and nutrition advocate and supports various leadership development and public service organizations.
