Sarah Jane Sherman is a global supply chain executive with more than 30 years of international leadership experience driving transformational procurement, contracting, logistics, and supply chain strategies across the energy, LNG, offshore, oil and gas, maritime, and manufacturing sectors. As Vice President of Supply Chain Management at Excelerate Energy, she leads the company’s global supply chain organization, overseeing strategic sourcing, contracting, procurement, logistics, vendor management, and operational governance in support of critical energy infrastructure and worldwide operations.

Recognized for her ability to build high-performing organizations and navigate complex global supply chains, Sarah has established a distinguished career delivering operational excellence, commercial value, risk mitigation, and sustainable growth across some of the world's most challenging and dynamic business environments. Her expertise spans the full supply chain lifecycle, from strategic sourcing and contract negotiation through logistics execution, supplier performance management, compliance, and enterprise transformation initiatives.

Throughout her career, Sarah has held senior leadership positions with leading multinational organizations, including Global Supply Chain Director at SBGS/Fugro, supporting offshore seismic operations worldwide; Global Supply Chain Manager at PetroSaudi Oil Services, overseeing procurement and logistics for offshore drilling operations; Contract and Procurement Manager at ONGC Videsh Ltd., supporting international exploration and production projects; and Country Supply Chain Manager for Weatherford International across Venezuela, Mexico, and Trinidad & Tobago. Earlier in her career, she served as Logistics and Procurement Manager at Saint-Gobain, managing supply chain operations across North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and North Africa.

Sarah's leadership portfolio encompasses some of the most complex and capital-intensive sectors of the global economy, including LNG and FSRU operations, offshore drilling, marine and vessel operations, upstream and downstream oil and gas, refinery services, manufacturing, and industrial supply chains. She has successfully led global sourcing programs, multimillion-dollar contract negotiations, strategic supplier partnerships, and supply chain transformation initiatives that have improved operational resilience, strengthened governance, reduced risk exposure, and delivered significant cost and performance improvements.

A trusted executive advisor and industry leader, Sarah is known for building and leading multicultural, cross-functional teams across multiple continents, creating collaborative organizations that consistently deliver measurable business results. Her expertise includes contract management, strategic sourcing, category management, global logistics, supply chain risk management, supplier governance, procurement transformation, and operational excellence. She possesses deep technical knowledge of offshore drilling operations, including drillships, jack-ups, dynamically positioned vessels, land drilling rigs, LNG infrastructure, and maritime operations, enabling her to bridge commercial strategy with operational execution.

In addition to her corporate leadership responsibilities, Sarah serves as a member of the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) Houston Advisory Executive Board, where she contributes to advancing supply chain excellence, industry best practices, and professional development across the procurement and supply management community.

Sarah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and International Trade, an MBA in Business Administration, a Master’s Degree in Foreign Trade and International Global Logistics, and a Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management from the University of San Francisco. She is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, a DNV-Certified ISM Marine Auditor, and has completed executive education programs at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Leadership and Advanced Negotiation Strategies.
