Steve has worked for over 35 years in the oil and gas industry. After Archrock was formed in 2015 with a split from Exterran he assumed the role of Director of Technical Services and Training for field operations until he was tapped to lead Archrock’s transformation program in 2018 as Director of Strategic Transformation. Prior to that he had joined Exterran’s legacy company Hanover in 2006 as Director of Process Improvement. While with Exterran he was promoted to Director of HSE and Operations Services for the US, then Global VP of QHSSE and US Operations Services.

For a significant portion of his career, Steve worked for Halliburton where he began as the Global Radiation Safety Manager. He then moved into Field Operations was then promoted to the North America Quality Manager, then advanced to the role of Global Director of Quality and finally as Global Director for Human Resource Development.

Preceding his O&G career, he worked as the Radiation & Laser Safety Manager for Texas Tech University. He has authored/co-authored and presented numerous papers on Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material in the O&G industry, management systems, risk management, learning, leadership, culture and organizational change management.
