Ryan Sitton is a nationally recognized leader in energy market analytics and reliability engineering. With nearly 30 years of industry experience, he brings a rare blend of technical depth and strategic insight across engineering, data science, public policy, and entrepreneurship.
He is the founder and CEO of Pinnacle, the world’s largest reliability solutions firm, serving leading companies across the globe in the oil and gas, water, and mining sectors for nearly 20 years. Under his leadership, Pinnacle recently launched a breakthrough quantitative reliability solution – delivering real-time, First Principles-based modeling for every failure mode that improves facility availability and optimizing costs.
From 2014 to 2020, he served as Texas Railroad Commissioner, the state’s top energy regulator, where he helped shape energy policy during a pivotal time for the industry. Ryan is the author of Crucial Decisions, a book on quantitative decision-making, holds two patents and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Data Science Engineering.
