Sonia (Velasco) Clayton Is the Founder, President, and
CEO of VIRTUAL INTELLIGENCE PROVIDERS, LLC

as a “disruptive and innovative entrepreneur,
” she has received over 30 awards and honors, including
recognition from the U.S. Congress and the White
House. A Latin American immigrant, Sonia arrived in the
U.S. with just $50 and no knowledge of English. Today,
she is celebrated as "The Icon of Hispanic Businesswomen in the United States" for her remarkable achievement of the American Dream founding the first SAP disruptive practice, Virtual
intelligence Providers, LLC in 2001. VIP-Global soon
became a global leader in Enterprise Resource Planning
Systems (SAP-AG) and organizational transformations
within the energy and manufacturing sectors.
She has over 10 years of experience in international aviation
negotiations and expansions, along with expertise in airline security operations within the transportation sector. In addition, she has 25 years of experience in enterprise and change management systems.
Sonia has led some of the most complex ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) implementations in the world for Fortune 100 companies.
She has worked in more than 70 countries and is fluent in four
languages. She is a distinguished international keynote-speaker who recently
(2024) presented at global forums, including the International Gas
and Energy Forum in Paraguay and the United Nations in
Switzerland, addressing the socioeconomic impact of Industry 4.0
and Energy 2.0 on the labor market. Sonia serves on several boards and councils, including the Texas
Judicial Council Office of Courts Administration where she was
appointed by Governor Greg Abbott. There, she oversees initiatives pertaining to disruptive technologies. She also chairs GET: Global Energy Transition (www.getenergyjobs.org), serving as Chairman and Executive Director.
